"Compact Dry" TC Set for microbiological testing of cosmetics at home/your artisanal lab.

Ready to use plates for determinations of total germ count.

Each set consists of four compact dry disks in a special foil and four sterile swabs with a dilution peptone.
Storage : ca +20 Centigrade
Incubation 35 -+2 Centigrade for 48 hours

The special foil protects the discs against moisture and light. After opening the foil, put the unused disks back in the foil and seal it with a tape. Use the disks as soon as possible after opening the foil.

In order to avoid drying, make sure CompactDry plates are well closed during incubation.
High concentrations on plates will cause the entire growth area to become red/pink. In this case dilute the sample.

The growth area is 20 cm². The back of the plate has a grid carved of 1 x 1 cm to make the colony counting easier. In case of any difficulties to count colonies due to large number of colonies grown, total viable count can be obtained by multiplying 20 by an average number of colonies per grid counted from several grids.

Compact dry is no replacement for a professional TVC or challenge test. This is only to help you pre-select your products before sending them to the laboratory
