Cetyl alcohol is a viscosity modifier, co-emulsifier for O/W emulsions and emulsion stabilizer. It is even added to waterless formulations such as balms and butters to enhance the texture and improve the spreadability.
This ingredient is palm-oil derived

Application dosage: 0,5-10,0%

Cetyl alcohol is often used to reduce the soapiness of certain emulsifiers such as Olivem 1000.
