Watermelon seed oil has a lovely skin feel and is recommended for all skin types. It has a high content of linoleic (omega-6) acid and quite effective in pampering dry and damaged skin. Its oil profile is very similar to pumpkin seed oil. With its palmitic and stearic acid content, watermelon seed oil provides the skin with a nice and effective (but not fatty) protective film. Other fatty acids (at low concentration) include: palmitoleic acid, behenic acid, arachidic acid, lignoceric acid, ecosenic acid and alpha-linolenic acid.
